I’m a big fan of setting realistic goals. I set a goal for my pregnancy before it happened— the goal is was to “stay the same but with a baby bump” 😭💀 let’s laugh together now. That was not realistic at all— • I’ve trained probably 50 pregnant people in my career. I know it’s safe to lift. But what I know and what I learned I believed are entirely different. It’s discouraging to not be able to do what I was doing in the gym. My mind convinces me im going to kill my baby, in turn I half ass my workout 😑— running is about the only thing that feels good. So that’s what I do. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I checked my running app. in the 5 months that I have carried this sweet baby, we’ve already ran 115 miles together. • It feels good to be proud of myself. And Not for doing what others can’t do, look at me I’m pregnant and I’m doing it not for the “no excuses” ploy, or any of that nonsense. Simply because I overcame a fear I have by a taking a different route. Literally. 25 miles- July goal. Surpassed by 5. 35 miles- August goal. Only 5 miles to go. Adding 5 miles per month until I meet this baby. Which means 55 miles will be the goal I’m setting to run(or walk at that point) the month the baby arrives. • 5 is my favorite number. Biblically speaking it represents grace. ♥️💁🏻‍♀️ • Grace is something I’m learning to give myself. Especially when it comes to my body. I try and tell y’all all the time— god is talking to you and showing you things. We are just to preoccupied with self sabotage and a poor me mentality to see it. • Believe in yourself more importantly believe in who he made you to be.♥️
It is a hard pill to swallow when things change. However it’s inevitable. The days you figure out people. Those days are hard too. You go from a state of uncertainty to clearly being able to see, not only yourself but those around you. It’s easy to get caught up in fault. Or blame. It’s easy to assume everything is personal. —— It’s not personal though. The truth is, people are just out for themselves— you are too, if you think about it. What I, and maybe you are intending as distance and refocus seems cold and stuck up to those around you. Thankfully god see the intent of our hearts. He’s also good about showing you your areas of short comings, if you ask him. ——— The difference in good and bad, is found in the intent of heart. What is your heart telling you? Are you doing things out of spite or are you truly taking care of yourself? If it’s to take care of yourself the disgust you feel for others wouldn’t be there. ——- The blessing in taking a step back is that it strengthens us. We learn in those times where are trust show be. For me that’s Jesus. ——- Those moments of solitude help us see things clearly. The curse in that, especially if you have big heart— more often than not you give chance after chance after chance to those who have shown you their intent. And intent that isn’t from a place of self care but from a place of selfishness and spite. It’s taken time but I’ve learned I can be kind without being invested. It was weird at first because I would run into people I used to be close with, I would just be coy and causal —- “I’m good thank you for asking” when they would ask how I was. Verses being detailed and invested. Giving them access to everything I truly thought that cared about. _______ I never understood why I would enter those conversations feeling pressured and leave them feeling Venerable and exposed. I felt that way because I went in thinking they cared because of their question. That’s not the case— and it was up to me to figure that out on my own. More often than not people don’t let us down, our expectations of them do.

We spent our last day of summer vacation being happy. •breakfast date •returning carts in the Walmart parking-lot (it’s one of our favorite things to do😂) • pool play date •Netflix for Calvin and apparently a nap for me😂💀🤷🏻‍♀️🤰🏻 (cracks me up the amount of selfies he takes on my phone. He get it from his mama.) ________ I’m going to miss him so much when he goes back to school. He drives me nuts but he is also the only consistent thing in my every day. I can tell he is worried about leaving me durning the day. That makes me feel guilty because he’s not responsible for me or my stability. I did have a proud mom moment though— yesterday he was invited to a last minute play date. I always say yes if he’s given a chance to make a memory. As I was taking him to mila’s he said “ mom it’s a little sad that we don’t get to be together every moment. But we will always come back together. It’s important for me to have my own life and do things on my own right?” _____ I said that to him when he left for Colorado and oklahoma. And I’ll say it again as he leaves for school and again anytime he has the chance to live his own little life. A child’s life his still a life, it’s important to teach them that their happiness is on them and ours isn’t. I’m not a perfect mom but I’m also a great one— who is raising their child to not worry about them, feel bad for them or fearful of them. He knows I love him and miss him always but he also knows when we gets the chance to go, go. He knows I’ll always be here, happy to see him regardless of his choices. As a child and as an adult he is free to be exactly who he is without feeling guilty about who he’s not. That being said he freaking awesome and he lovvvves being with his mommy, which is a-okay by me 😂💁🏻‍♀️
My friend Maggie McCain, gave us the best gift ever. Now we can hear this little nugget all day every day if we want! • Daddy is for sure on call for this task and loves every minute of it. ♥️
I will say feeling this little baby move about makes the once difficult choice, to lay down, easy, for a busy body. The more still I am, the more I feel this little angel baby.♥️

Spent the day on the river with my favorite people. The plan was to camp but that didn’t workout this time 😂🙃 • I’m trying so hard to embrace this ever growing, extra soft, a little fluffy and dimples all around pregnant body I’ve got going on. 😬 5ish months to go 😳🤰🏻🤘🏼😂
